Port Alberni lies on Harbour Road and is located at the head of the Alberni Inlet in the Alberni Valley, 29 miles (47km) west of Parksville, B.C. The facility consists of a single approach leading to a series of floats. The main industries are mining and logging, the town is beginning to evolve into a major tourist hub.
